Westward Ho!
This year I spent Memorial Day weekend with friends in Kansas. I've been making a trip to sunflower land every summer since 2001. This year was the first time I added some vacation time to a holiday weekend. The mini-vacation turned out to be the perfect event. It was great to see my friends, Daniel, Courtney, Brad and Bethany, after so long. We always have a great time when we get together. Usually we plan some big event during my trip (like heading off to Branson, MO), but this time we decided on a more relaxing pace, spending much of our time in the local area. I wanted to do the typical things that they might do around town on an average weekend when I'm not there. So that's what we did. We had a cook-out at Brad and Beth's house where I stayed, visited the historical sites in their home town, played mini-golf, went to church, visited the mall, played board games on the patio, and otherwise spent a good bit of time together. It was very fulfilling and relaxing. The weather was nice the whole time. What a great way to start the summer!

Wow, that Bethany must be a great gal! :) I had a great time, too. Glad you did.
Glad you could visit the sunflower land once again. It was a great weekend...the laughs we shared... the games we played...great memories.
