Today at work we were talking about how mild the winter has been this year - no snow and temperatures heading towards 60 degrees as recently as Christmas weekend. I noted how some of the plants outside my house are sending up new shoots. Some of the trees at work are full of buds, too. One guy said that he was out in the woods recently hunting. He scraped back some leaves and sent some salamanders scurrying from among the green shoots rising out of the earth. Somebody also mentioned that the cherry trees in Washington, DC are starting to bloom. It must be true considering the cherry trees are already blooming in New York City.

I seen some green driving down to moms yesterday. Thought that was weird. But I'm not sure Western Kansas, Colorado, or Neb. would agree with it being spring just yet :)
The latest forecast has us heading into the 60's on Saturday.
