Longwood Gardens: An Interpretation

A horticulturist's dream. That's how I would describe it. Longwood Gardens - the premier display garden in the world located near Phila-
delphia, outside Kennett Square, PA.

Today, I was there, snapping pictures and reveling in the beauty of more than 1000 acres of cultivated, natural beauty. Where to start? How to stop? My photography appetite was whetted right off the bat.

From the classic conservatory of industrialist Pierre S. du Pont with its grand ballroom and even grander arch-
itecture to the fountained vistas of the surround-
ing estate...it was an exceptionally inpirational day.

The following are a few of the images I shot today. They are my interpretations of what I saw within these lush and lovely gardens.

If you enjoy horticulture you should definately put this place on your list of "must sees".

Scott,
Your pictures are really, really good! Longwood Gardens is only a short distance from my home area. A nice place! You should go down there at Christmas time.
