Washington D.C.- Aug. 2004. I've been dying to see the new World War II Memorial since it opened a few months ago. I was thrilled to see it a few weeks ago when Eric, Hannah, Nate Jarasat and I spent two days in Washington. It is a beaufiful design, full of wonderful symbolism. I'm sad, though, that it took so long to become a reality. Many veterans of that war will never get to see it.
